Keep your pieces shining

A little care goes a long way. These simple habits help your jewellery keep its finish for longer.

• Last on, first off: put your jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take it off before bed.
• Keep it dry: remove it before swimming, showering, the gym or cleaning. Salt water, chlorine and sweat dull plated finishes faster.
• Clean gently: wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. Avoid harsh chemicals and polishing pastes.
• Store separately: keep each piece in its pouch or box so chains don't tangle and stones don't scratch.
